      Participants

      The company of active participants will include prospective students of music, university students and professional beginners. The number of participants will be limited to 8 instrumentalists per subject, so the training will be intensive. Concerts at the end of the course will offer complementary practical experience to the participants.
    • Course charge

      The course fee amounts to 270 € and includes the participation in all other events offered. Participants pay 100 € at enrolment. This amount will later be deducted from the course fee. A refund of the course fee will only be possible if the participant cancels his enrolment not later than 4 weeks before the start of the master class. After that it will only be possible if his/her place has been taken by another person.

      Board and Lodging

      Board

      Common board for all participants is offered at a global price 52 € for the master course week. This includes 3 meals per day, a dinner on the evening of arrival and a breakfast on the morning of departure.
      By the way: in the local restaurants you can enjoy the interesting regional cuisine.

      Lodging

      Rooms (including toilet and shower) in the school center are offered at 30 €/week. (You must absolutely bring your sleeping bag, pillow, towels etc. !!!)
      Hotels, guest houses, chalets or private rooms can be booked at the VVV Emsbüren Touristik GmbH.

      If you stay in a guest house, a hotel or a chalet outside the city centre, you must arrange your own transport to the school centre, for there is no local public transport.
      In the city you can hire a bicycle (at a small charge).



Emsbürener Musiktage


The 39. Emsbuerener Music Festivals takes place from 02. November - 16. November 2014.


The Emsbürener Music Festival will feature concerts, international master courses and art expositions.

The art director is professor Eckart Hübner from Berlin, who holds a chair at the Art Academy of Berlin since 1997. He has been solo bassoonist in the symphony orchestra of the SWR since 1990. Before that he held the same function in Dortmund and in the state orchestra of Baden. Hübner is a prize-winner of several competitions, such as the ARD competition (with the Albert Schweitzer quintet). He has also been in charge of regular practices of the youth orchestra of the European Union.
The guidance of the organisation has been entrusted to Mr. Martin Nieswandt, who is the director of a regional Music School since 2012.
