Quattro Requiem per Puccini

Roma: Il Concorso di Composizione Benedetto XVI

Sono tre i vincitori del secondo Concorso Internazionale di Composizione di Musica Sacra Papa Benedetto XVI, dedicato alle celebrazioni del 90° anniversario della morte di Giacomo Puccini (1924 - 2014). Primo classificato è l'italiano Francesco Stillitano; al secondo posto (in ex aequo) il canadese Stephen Fraser e, ancora un italiano, Fabrizio Callai; si aggiudica la terza posizione lo statunitense James Cristopher Padrini. Tutte le composizioni recano lo stesso titolo: Requiem. Al concorso hanno partecipato quaranta candidati provenienti da ogni parte del mondo, con un «livello di preparazione molto alto - afferma Lorenzo Palomo, presidente della giuria - ed ho trovato davvero interessante il diverso modo di interpretare la musica religiosa da parte dei concorrenti. Compositori di varie nazionalità che hanno in comune l'amore per la musica e che soprattutto sanno esprimerla in maniera personale e dunque diversa: sono molto entusiasta di ciò che ho sentito nei tre giorni in cui ci siamo riuniti per decretare le opere vincitrici». A fianco del presidente di giuria, Palomo, Angelo Inglese (direttore artistico del concorso), Alfredo Rugeles Asuaje (direttore musicale dell'Orchestra Simon Bolivar,Venezuela), Jennifer Pascual (direttore musicale della Cattedrale di St. Patrick, New York) e Angelo Cavallaro (direttore d'orchestra). La partitura vincitrice del primo premio sarà pubblicata dalla casa editrice "Sillabe" di Livorno e sarà eseguita durante la stagione 2014/2015 in una delle chiese più importanti dell'Arcidiocesi di New York, New York City. Il 16 aprile 2014 (ore 20), giorno del compleanno di Papa Benedetto XVI, presso la Basilica Sant'Andrea della Valle - luogo d'azione nel primo atto della pucciniana Tosca, il Coro Giuseppe Verdi e i solisti dell'Accademia Romana dell'Opera diretti da Angelo Cavallaro, eseguiranno il Requiem di Giacomo Puccini ed i quattro Requiem premiati.

  Rome : The Composition Contest Benedict XVI

There are three winners of the second International Composition Competition of Sacred Music Pope Benedict XVI, dedicated to the celebrations of the 90th anniversary of the death of Giacomo Puccini ( 1924-2014 ) . First place is the Italian Francesco Stillitano in second place ( in a tie ) and the Canadian Stephen Fraser , another Italian , Fabrizio Callai , won the third place American James Christopher Godfathers . All compositions bear the same title : Requiem. The competition was attended by forty candidates from all over the world , with a " very high level of preparedness - says Lorenzo Palomo , president of the jury - and I found it really interesting the different way of interpreting religious music by competitors . Composers of various nationalities who share a love for music and especially that they know to express it in a personal way and therefore different: I am very excited about what I heard during the three days when we gathered to declare the winners . " Next to the president of the jury , Palomo , Angel English (artistic director of the competition ), Alfredo Rugeles Asuaje ( musical director of the Orchestra Simon Bolivar, Venezuela) , Jennifer Pascual ( music director of St. Patrick's Cathedral , New York) and Angelo Cavallaro (conductor ) . The score of the first prize winner will be published by the publishing house " Syllables " in Livorno and will be performed during the season 2014/2015 into one of the most important churches of the Archdiocese of New York, New York City. On April 16, 2014 ( 20 hours ) , the birthday of Pope Benedict XVI at the Basilica of Sant'Andrea della Valle - site of action in the first act of Puccini's Tosca , Verdi Chorus and soloists of the Roman Opera directed by Angelo Cavallaro , will perform the Requiem by Giacomo Puccini Requiem and the four winners .

La Brass Academy Alicante , Academia internacional para instrumentos de metal , inició sus actividades en el año 2008 y las continuó ininterrumpidamente hasta nuestros días con éxito, ofreciendo a sus estudiantes sin tener que abandonar su región o país ,una formación de nivel internacional con profesores de larga trayectoria en orquestas internacionales o como solistas.
En el  año 2012 , en nuestro cuarto año de actividades y contando con la amable colaboración del Ayuntamiento de Alicante que nos cedió una de sus fantásticas instalaciones en el emblemático centro histórico de Alicante, decidimos iniciar un ciclo de cursos de verano ,al cual daremos continuidad todos los julios , buscando en los mismos reunir a estudiantes y amantes de los instrumentos de metal , que durante una semana, en un ambiente de camaradería puedan gozar de la música , perfeccionar su técnica , prepararse para concursos y al mismo tiempo disfrutar del fantástico entorno de Alicante, su centro histórico , sus exquisitas playas y su excelente gastronomía con un clima de excepción.
Este año 2014 os presentamos nuestra tercera edicion del ” Summer Brass Academy Alicante”.

 The Brass Academy Alicante , International Academy for brass instruments, began its activities in 2008 and continued uninterrupted until today successfully offering its students without having to leave their region or country, training with international teachers long career in international orchestras or as soloists.
In 2012 , in our fourth year of operation and with the kind assistance of the City of Alicante who gave us one of the great amenities in the iconic historic center of Alicante, we decided to start a series of summer courses, which we will continue all joules , looking at them together students and lovers of brass instruments, for a week , in an atmosphere of camaraderie can enjoy music, perfecting your technique , prepare for competitions while enjoying the fantastic environment Alicante , its historic center, its exquisite beaches and excellent cuisine with an outstanding climate .
This year 2014 we present our third edition of "Summer Brass Academy Alicante" .

PRESENTACIÓN

COLLEGIUM MUSICUM LA RIOJA organiza el II CURSO INTERNACIONAL DE MÚSICA DE LA RIOJA: OJA MUSICAE entre los días 13 y 20 de Julio de 2014.

Nuestro principal objetivo es crear un espacio de encuentro, de estímulo y formación, dedicado a jóvenes estudiantes de música. Queremos fomentar en OJAMUSICAE el intercambio de ideas y experiencias musicales entre todos los participantes: profesores y estudiantes, dentro de un clima educativo  que favorezca el desarrollo de otras actividades artísticas y lúdicas, y que permita aprovechar al máximo el fantástico entorno del pueblo de Ezcaray en La Rioja.

El programa de trabajo del curso compaginará las clases individuales y colectivas de Instrumento con clases de Orquesta y de Banda, divididas en diferentes agrupaciones: por un lado Orquesta y Banda de Enseñanzas Elementales y por otro Orquesta de Enseñanzas Profesionales.

Además del trabajo técnico y musical desarrollado en las clases, los alumnos participarán en actividades complementarias. Una de ellas será la Orquesta en el tejado, que actuará en concierto acompañando a los maestros Ara Malikian y Kepa Junquera. Habrá además tres Master Class a cargo de Ara Malikian, Kepa Junquera y Tactum Ensemble; talleres de Coro, Percusión étnica, Luthería y Mindfulness. Se celebrarán tres conciertos en el Teatro Real de Ezcaray, una Cata musical y se llevarán a cabo un buen número de actividades deportivas y de tiempo libre.

En definitiva, un atractivo programa desarrollado por un excelente equipo de profesores, monitores y voluntarios. Un equipo plenamente  identificado con nuestro proyecto.

A nosotros nos queda ahora el cumplir con las expectativas creadas, corresponder con ilusión, entrega y dedicación, e intentar superar el éxito de la edición anterior…

Musicólogo y Director de Collegium Musicum La Rioja        Collegium Musicum LA Rioja II organizes the INTERNATIONAL YEAR OF MUSIC Rioja : OJA MUSICAE between 13 and 20 July 2014 .Our main objective is to create a space for meeting, incentive and training dedicated to young music students . One will be the Orchestra on the roof , acting in concert accompanied by teachers and Kepa Junquera Malikian Ara . It will also be three Master Class by Ara Malikian , Kepa Junquera and Tactum Ensemble , Choir workshops , ethnic percussion, Luthier and Mindfulness . Three concerts at the Teatro Real in Ezcaray , a musical Cata and carried out a number of sports and leisure activities will be held .In short, an attractive program developed by an excellent team of teachers, coaches and volunteers. A team fully identified with our project.To us it is now meet the expectations created , correspond with enthusiasm, commitment and dedication , and try to surpass the success of the previous edition ...
