III Curso de Dirección Orquestal
La Orquesta de Córdoba convoca el III Curso de Dirección Orquestal, un certamen que tendrá lugar entre los días 31 de agosto y 4 de septiembre de 2015 y que se celebrará en la Sala de usos Múltiples de la Orquesta de Córdoba (Gran Teatro de Córdoba). El curso será impartido por el Director Titular de la formación, el maestro Lorenzo Ramos.
Objetivos y solicitudes
El curso pretende ayudar a los participantes a preparar técnicamente la dirección musical de las Variaciones sobre un tema de Haydn y la Sinfonía nº 1 de Brahms y ofrecer la oportunidad de trabajarlas con la Orquesta de Córdoba. El trabajo se realizará primeramente a dos pianos y a partir del cuarto día del curso el alumno trabajará ya con la agrupación cordobesa. Las enseñanzas se adaptarán al nivel de preparación de cada alumno. Para participar en el curso los alumnos deberán enviar a la dirección n@orquestadecordoba.org">producción@orquestadecordoba.org no más tarde del 1 de julio de 2015 una fotocopia del DNI o pasaporte vigente; una solicitud de inscripción debidamente formalizada; y una biografía resumida en un máximo de 150 palabras junto a una fotografía reciente de tamaño carné en formato .jpg o .pdf. El precio como alumno oyente es de 150€ y como alumno activo de 500€.

Conducting practice with the Danube Symphony Orchestra

If the orchestra has the piece in their library, it is free to use it.
If the orchestra hasn’t got the piece (or parts) in their library, then there will be a cost to hire it.
Or alternatively you could bring along the music with you and use it with the orchestra.
Prices and Conditions:
The minimum amount of time (in minutes):
The first 80-minute-session rehearsal = 650 Euro
Additional minutes: the next 80-minute-session rehearsal = 600 Euro
This price includes:
- 80 minutes conducting time
- with a 35-member-orchestra
-  DVD recording of your conducting
Further information:​
The practice time is counted per rehearsal. The orchestra will only sit down and play only for a full rehearsal (80 minutes). We offer this practice to other conductors as well, in this way, the rehearsal time can be shared so you can share the costs as well.
If you’d like to have a conducting Professor there for your practice, we can arrange tuition with Prof. Tamás Gál at the same time.He is the Professor of conducting at  the Liszt Academy of Music.

Location: Boltby, North Yorkshire Moors
A sensational late summer course specialising in string repertoire and musical education. The course will focus on repertoire for string trio, quartet and quintet, and will include specialist training in working with school students of all ages.
During the course, participants will be immersed into the wonderful world of chamber music and will present and perform at a series of educational workshops with the next generation of music makers, across North Yorkshire. In addition, participants will be performing at a series of public concerts.
Course fee includes coaching from all tutors and our musical director, Xenophon Kelsey, accommodation in a beautiful farmhouse on the North York Moors and full board.
